Angles, channels, IPE, flats, rounds and squares, universal beams and universal columns.

We offer a cutting service on the above with two large band saws capable of cutting the largest U Beam.

The material is slit and manufactured into tubes on our premises

Flat Products

Commercial Quality Plates
Certified Plates to SABS1431 GR300WA, Wear Plates. Boiler Plates, BS4360 Gr 50B/ En10025 Plates and Roqlast and Roqtuf plates. We also supply Vastrap plates cut from coils. Grades : CQ, S355, Boiler, SS10/200 Bennox, Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Galvanised, PPGI.

Hot Rolled sheets are kept in standard sizes on the floor but we can cut non-standard sizes on our cut to length lines and guillotines. Commercial quality – pickled and oiled. Supraform qualities are kept in stock in coil form.

Cold Rolled and Galvanised sheets are kept in standard sizes and we can provide a cutting service on our lines and guillotines.

Phoenix Steel Gauteng

Phoenix Steel Gauteng is the main steel stockholding center for the Argent Group. We also supply to other customers in the Gauteng, North West and Mpumalanga areas. Export to Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi. A wide range of steel products are kept here and converted from basic steel into sheets, blanks and tubes. We also have the facility to plasma cut up to 50mm, flame cut up to 70mm, slitting, cut to length as well as COM rolling.

The company runs a fleet of 11 heavy vehicles and has a staff of approximately 120 people that are friendly and able to assist with client requirements. Steel is loaded day and night by 10 overhead cranes ranging in capacities from 5 ton to 32 ton. We have a wide product range as listed on Our Products page.

Phoenix Steel Natal specialises in the supply of plate, hot and cold rolled sheets, galvanised sheets, light and heavy sections, tubing, cold formed sections, roof sheeting, hand railing and grating. We also offer additional services such as blanking, slitting, cutting to length and guillotining on modern, state of the art machinery.

Phoenix Steel Natal’s success emanates from catering for small to large collections and deliveries to complement all your steel requirements. The company ensures an efficient and reliable delivery service by loading steel around the clock using 6 overhead cranes ranging in capacities from 5 ton to 32 ton. Deliveries are transported using a modern fleet of 10 vehicles coupled with a highly effective delivery team. Our dedicated staff compliment of approximately 50 people is the pillar of our success and between them we have invaluable years of experience in the steel industry.
